About ALDI
ALDI is one of the largest grocery retailers in the world, operating more than 2,300 stores across the United States and backed by a network of regional distribution centers that keep every one of those stores stocked. ALDI built its reputation on a lean, no-frills operating model — a smaller assortment, efficient shelf-ready packaging, and a distribution network engineered to move product from dock to store shelf with minimal waste and minimal delay. That same lean philosophy shapes life inside our warehouses: smaller, more capable teams, real cross-training instead of narrow one-task roles, and wages built to attract and keep the best warehouse talent in the region.
What Our Team Says (Employee Reviews)
"I run a stand-up reach truck all shift moving pallets between receiving and the pick zones. ALDI keeps the fleet well maintained, the aisles marked and clear, and the pace steady instead of chaotic. The certification pay bump on top of the base warehouse wage made this the best-paying forklift job I found in the area." - Current Forklift Operator, Loxley, AL.
Role Overview & Responsibilities
As an ALDI Forklift Operator, you move palletized product throughout the distribution center — transferring inbound pallets from receiving into storage racking, replenishing pick zones, and staging completed pallets at the correct outbound dock door.
- Pallet Transfer & Put-Away: Move inbound pallets from the receiving dock into the correct storage rack location using the warehouse management system's slotting instructions, scanning each pallet and rack location to confirm placement accuracy before releasing it back into inventory.
- Pick Zone Replenishment: Monitor pick zone inventory levels throughout the shift and replenish low or empty slots from bulk storage before a selector runs out of product, prioritizing fast-moving items flagged on the replenishment report.
- Safe Equipment Operation: Operate the forklift within posted speed limits and load capacity ratings at all times, complete the required pre-shift equipment inspection checklist, and report any mechanical issue to maintenance immediately rather than continuing to operate a flagged unit.
Benefits & Perks
ALDI Forklift Operators earn a strong hourly wage plus a certification pay differential, along with paid time off, a 401(k) with company match, and medical, dental, and vision benefits.
